The history of BESTIAL started back in 1994. Which are your memories from these days and which were your main influences back then?
BESTIAL: Profane greetings and thank you very much for your interest in featuring Bestial on the Filthy Dogs of Metal Webzine! Let me see... 1994... we were young metalheads with little musical experience, but with a lot of fury and energy to make extreme music. Our influences were always the most extreme bands of the 80s, the vast majority of which were Brazilian bands.
You have recently released the re-issue of your EP ''Hellfuckdominium XXI''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
BESTIAL: Yes! The "Hellfuckdominion XXI" EP was recently re-released in limited edition cassette format by Murder Records from the Netherlands, along with two other extreme labels, Auditive Cut Records from Brazil and Subterrβneo Maldito Records from Portugal. The feedback from the maniacs of the sick underworld is overwhelmingly positive. Many are getting to know the band through this material.
How did your cooperation with Murder Records occur? What do you prefer, Label or DIY and why?
BESTIAL: We got in touch with Murder Records through a conversation with Danihell Slaughter (hell-o infernal bro!) where we presented the band's work and he expressed interest in releasing the next album. Both ways of releasing DIY or supported by a label are valid. For Bestial, we are interested in getting the material circulated through the underworld of the necrounderground.
Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
BESTIAL: In the band's 30 years, countless funny and strange stories have happened... Most of them, invariably, involve excesses... cheap alcohol, heavy drugs, insane fights, ugly women... funny and absurd situations... and many more stories and bizarre things are yet to come!

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
BESTIAL: We will always give preference to releases in physical format on vinyl, cassette or CD... But with all the changes and access to digital platforms, we believe that they also contribute to the promotion of the band's work. We want to spread brutal sonic chaos to all maniacs of sonic extremism!
Your music style is Black/Death Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
BESTIAL: Since the beginning, Bestial has been a Black/Death Metal band. Our influences come basically from extreme bands from the 80s, names like Sarcσfago, Possessed, Blasphemy, Expulser, Venom, Fallen Christ, Mutilator, Hellhammer, Bulldozer, Loucyfer, Sadistic Intent, Morbid Angel, etc... But we also have influences from horror movies, literature and other forms of dark, extreme and bizarre artistic expression.

Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
BESTIAL: We never see being in the band as a sacrifice, we know the responsibilities we have. This was our choice and here we are. This is our extreme lifestyle!
Do you see any differences in today's Metal music business in comparison with the Music business back in the '90s & '00s?
BESTIAL: The difference is that the scene has gotten bigger, with thousands of bands, better and faster access to information and easier promotion... but that's not a big deal...
Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
BESTIAL: Loud music, headbanging, fury, intensity, madness and a chaotic and insane crowd! Bestial's live performances are like that!
What attributes do you think that a new Black/Death Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
BESTIAL: Do something that shows your ideas, your influences. Without copying trends or fashions... Following your own path...
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Black/Death Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
BESTIAL: These are new tools for disseminating material... but, for us, they do not replace physical material, the exchange of material and personal contact...
Do you see any differences between the Brazilian Metal Market & the EU Metal Market (Labels, Bands, Fans etc)?
BESTIAL: The most striking differences are distance, nationality and language...in general, true underground maniacs maintain the same essence of darkness! But the biggest difference is the purchasing power and economic status of each place.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
BESTIAL: It's hard to describe the new underground Metal scene in Porto Alegre...there's a lot of opportunistic nonsense infested with fads... There are few venues for shows... There are several bands... but the best ones are the old ones! Some warriors continue to be active in promoting bands with their webzines...
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
BESTIAL: Yes! We really like bands from your country, especially the more extreme ones from the late 80s and first half of the 90s, like Sound Pollution, Necromantia, Thou Art Lord, Naer Mataron, Varathron, etc...
What are your future plans?
BESTIAL: Keep recording and releasing our material, we are working hard on the tracks for the third album, keep spreading brutality and chaos through our work and our live sonic torment, always carrying the flag of brutality and blasphemy!
