Tell us a few things about CRUX DECUSSATA (Members, Starting Year etc).
Crux Decussata is Nick Sabia (vocals), Paul Letart (bass), Paul McAlarney (guitar), Kevin Young (drums). Paul McAlarney and Kevin began the band in 2018 with a slightly different lineup but the current lineup has been in place for the majority of the band’s history. Our first two singers never sang a single note, not even during practices.

You have recently released your EP ''Headchopper''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
We’ve received no attention from the press because fuck the press and most of our fans are dying from headbanging too hard, which is flattering.

Label or DIY and why?
DIY because it sounds more badass but mainly because nobody offered to put it out (nor did we ask anyone).

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Tape. CD is stupid, digital is lame (but we put our releases out on digital too because it’s convenient), and vinyl is awesome but not as cheap, durable, fast, or accessible as tape. Plus tape is cool again. Currently “Headchopper” is only available digitally but we plan to release it on tape when we get our shit together.

Your music style is MetalPunk. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Motorhead. Running Wild. Exciter. Deep Purple. New Kids On The Block. ABBA.

Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
One goat and one bassist per year.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
Traxside in Montreal, Canada.

Which attributes, do you think, that a new MetalPunk Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
The longest open-E gallop imaginable.

Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new MetalPunk Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Outer space, without a doubt.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Boston, Massachusetts, USA (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
It’s a ghost town since COVID.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene? 
Not a whole lot but I’m sure it rips!

What are your future plans?
Pizza and swimming at the beach.
