Interview with DESTRUCTIVA
!!!THRASH METAL FROM ARGENTINA!!!
Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about DESTRUCTIVA (Members, Starting Year etc).
Destructiva is a thrash metal band formed in 2017 by Nacho Alvarez, Franco Pascal and Matias Castro. Then, in 2020 we incorpored Matias Lo Presti into the band.
You have recently released your EP ''The EP''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
The feedback was awesome. People liked the ep and they let us know. Our songs travel on the internet in countries that we never imagined that we were going to arrive. Countries like Italy, UK, Greece, France, etc. That is something very special for us.
Label or DIY and why?
At the day, we prefer DIY, because we are new in this world, and we have our pressures, and we don't need another resposability extern of our compromise with the band and the fans.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
CD all the way! Hahaha, but in this times all the bands needs a good backrest in all the stream platforms, is what we use every day in our phones and if our music isn't in all that pages all comes more harder for us and our diffusion.
Your music style is Thrash Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Our biggest influences are obviously Sepultura, Pantera, Exodus, Slayer, Faith No More, Megadeth etc.
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
We think that, when you have a band, your free time changes to your band time. And... to have success all the members need to separate the private problems to the band, a bad day at the work is a good day in the studio if you separate and ignore the bad things for that moment. We sacrifice our family time or our free time after a long day to do this, this is what we love and it need the attention that deserves.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
Our ideal show have two moods... the first is that underground show in a little studio room with the people in front of us moshing all our songs whit his beers flying everywhere. And the second mood is that big night with good bands, a big part of friends and unknown people in a big bar enjoying what we do and singing our songs very loud. we were lucky to be able to live both experiences and it was awesome.
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Thrash Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
For us now everything is invented, in the music context. A band need good attitude and presence in all the forms to be unique in his environment. The base of the identity is do what we like and think about the people that follows our formula.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Thrash Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Yes! We think that the platforms like Spotify, Deezer, AppleMusic, etc. do much easier the work to spread the music. Is a very good tool for all of us. That way and the social media pages are, now, the best way.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Argentina (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
There are some very good bands outhere, we have a very lively movement in the underground. Argentina Thrash Metal is a independent label that do big things for the under bands like us, giving them the possibility to have the music in a physical format and distribute it. That is awesome for the wheel.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
No, we don't know what that is but sounds interesting.
What are your future plans?
Future plans? We are now do new sh*t (silence) hahaha and we want to promote our EP in more parts of Argentina. We have all the time of the world and and we want to squeeze it to the fullest!.
