Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about LILITH LEGACY (Members, Starting Year etc).
Hi to all readers of Filthy Dogs of Metal, we are Lilith Legacy, a thrash metal trio from Italy based in Turin. The band was formed by Dave and Pietro and started its activity in late 2018 with the first pieces of our first Demo being written. Later in 2020 after few lineup changes, Robi joined the band and after the pandemic we started recording our first self titled demo which includes pieces like "Hazmat". The demo was self produced and recorded live in studio from our rehearsal sessions. Then it was released in 2022. After the release we began playing local gigs with underground metal bands. In 2023 we decided to record three new pieces which are included in our new EP called "Collateral Tapes", just released in November 2024.
You have recently released your EP ''Collateral Tapes''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
Honestly we didn't expect such a positive and supportive feedback especially from the audience. It has been released through "New wave of old school Thrash metal" YouTube channel which allowed the EP to reach many new listeners and supporters outside our local Italian scene.
Label or DIY and why?
DIY all the way. So far we managed to make it all on our own and we enjoy the process!
Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
Yes! At the end of the track "Signed in blood" you can hear Pietro saying "OK!" just after a very good take, we found it really funny and decided to keep it in the track.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
We prefer physical formats, in general, especially for underground bands because it's the best way to really support the artists.
Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Our main influences are based on 90's thrash metal bands like Voivod, Megadeth, Annihilator and so on, but there's also modern influences as well.
Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
You have to play! Because of that, you have to keep practicing no matter what. Most of all, you have to enjoy what you play.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
From our small live experience we had the opportunity to open a Raven gig during their European Inferno Tour on August 7th 2024 in our city! The energy of the crowd made the night even more memorable and we are really thankful for how it turned out.
What attributes do you think that a new Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
To not lean on stereotypes and cliches and to take your influences and make them your own.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
Not really, but some platforms like BandCamp are a lot more friendly to underground music and underground music listeners.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Italy (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
Our local underground metal scene has seen a lot of new bands and releases; in recent years metal concerts and festivals started being really frequent and supported. Local metal clubs are planning greater gigs and festivals too. Fanzines and Webzines are fundamental part of the process and are always present.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
We don't really know much about the Hellenic Metal scene, but we know the Up the hammers festival which also included some underground Italian bands.
In the last 4 years, worldwide in the world, we have faced many dark, strange, and new situations in our everyday lives (covid, lockdown, etc.). Did all of this affect you positively or negatively?
Negatively because we couldn't rehearse at all, nevertheless we took the opportunity to focus on recording ad writing our music.
What are your future plans?
Next stop is our first full length, work in progress!
Thank you very much for your time & keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Thanks to Filthy dogs of metal for this interview and to all the readers. We hope you enjoy our new EP "Collateral Tapes"! Bye!! \m/
