Interview with MIDNIGHT SACRIFICE

Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about MIDNIGHT SACRIFICE (Members, Starting Year etc).
Formed in December 2019. We are a Black and Roll Metal band from Lima, Perú. We have a demo "We Are The Bastards of Rock". Also, the last release was a Split "Blasphemous Metal Hordes" with Hostile Faith from Chile. Midnight Sacrifice was formed by Lobo Kaufman (drummer) and Yawarx (Guitar and Bass player). In addition, Evil Fukker (Vocal Guest's) listened to our rehearsals and he encouraged himself to be part of the Demo, he helped us with the recording of the voice to the band.

In 2020 you have released your demo ''We are the Bastards of Rock''. What was the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
Feedback for ''We Are The Bastards of Rock'' has been great and better than We expected, Black Legion Records (Label) support us on this occasion. We feel satisfied and glad for the people because they have the same energy that we put into music. We haven’t gotten support from the press but We’re not worried about that because the same people are the ones who share the music and so it expands. Thanks to the support of the Black Legion Records label we have the Demo and the Split, which little by little have been acquired nationally and internationally.

Label or DIY and why?
Black Legion Records was the label that helped make this come true, they listened to our recorded rehearsals and we caught their attention, we reached a conversation and agreement to be able to start the production of the Demo and then the Split.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
I'm more into vinyl and tapes but the digital format is comfortable

Your music style is Black 'n Roll Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
We are very influenced by Motorhead, Hellhammer, Darkthrone, Omega from Greece, Sabbat from Japan

Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
Since we started playing in this band, we know that the members had jobs. We take advantage of our free time to create music and talk about the band and rehearsal. We are not tied to a music company so we move forward at a safe and comfortable pace for the band members without rushing.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
We are not interested to play live shows. We are just dedicated to creating new music.

Which attributes, do you think, that a new Black 'n Roll Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
This is a really difficult question because we like the old sound. So, just KEEP IT REAL and don’t forget your bullet belts, lol.

Do you believe that Bandcamp and other Digital Platforms help the new Black/Thrash Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Sure, I believe that this kind of digital platform helps to share music from new bands and his music more easily.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Peru (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
The underground metal scene is really small here but we have great bands like Cobra, Hyena, Stonehead, Beheaded Saints, Morbosatan, Mortem, Anal vomit, Goat Semen, Hadez.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
We are more interested in others type of bands.

What are your future plans?
Our plans for the future are many, such as, for example, continuing to compose new songs and release material. Collaborate with more bands and reach everywhere nationally and internationally so that our way of expressing music is heard. At the moment we are in the process of the second material.
