Thank you very much for taking us into consideration to be part of this great webzine and to share information about our worship.
1. Tell us a few things about POLTERGEIST (Members, Starting Year etc).
Poltergeist started as a solo band project created in 2017 by Nekrovulva (Voice and guitar in Hellbutcher Chile), with ideals of paranormal cases, occultism, serial killers, demonology and derivatives...In 2017 creations of the first guitar riffs and lyrics are made, where they are perfected between 2018 and 2019.Taking the initiative not to postpone the raw sound any longer and soldiers are recruited to shape the band, in 2019 Witchfucker on guitar and Sebastarot on bass are integrated to create the darkest and most perverse Speed metal.In December of the same year the single Poltergeist was recorded, to make the band known, later he worked on the debut EP recorded in Record Vardager Studio, where Sebastarot took the reins of the 6 and 4 strings after the departure of Witchfucker and could be released this same year 2020 with 4 own cuts, fast and dark, along with a cover worshiping the Italian Bulldozer.
2. You have recently released your EP ''Manifiesto''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
To have so little time in the light, we have had very good acceptance by the bangers of my country as well as many other sides of the globe.Personally I am totally grateful to all those people who support this path.
3. Label or DIY and why?
Both are valid!, but I always start by being independent and doing things my way, then over time if record labels appear I would be just as grateful that they could spread the plague on a more professional level.!
4. Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
I do not underestimate any of the 3, I feel that each format has marked each stage of my life, I started listening to tapes as a child, then CDs in my adolescence and now that I am older I can give myself the pleasure of collecting vinyl.
5. Your music style is Black/Speed Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
At first Poltergeist had more horror punks influences and with the passing of time I realized that the path that was taking a rougher path, so I decided to start with a Evil Speed Metal, stronger and darker.The bands that gave me influences in speed and darkness are: Vectom, bulldozer, Onslaught, Accept, Razor, Crossfire, Violent force, Kat, Impaler, Warrant, Mortuary Drape and endless bands more ... hehe
6. Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
There is nothing more sacrificial and sacred than time.If you do not know how to deal with your own environment without having things in harmony, you will waste your time.Many great bands have sacrificed families to achieve fame and that is something that I would not do.
7. Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
With Poltergeist we have not set foot on a stage yet.But when we have a day, we can make the public explode with a venom-style set design.
8. Which attributes, do you think, that a new Black/Speed Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
“Balls”.
9. Do you believe that Bandcamp and other Digital Platforms help the new Black/Speed Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
All platforms are viable, always take it seriously and can be of great help in expanding your music to the rest of the world.
10. Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Chile (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
Right now Chile is great potential in the underground scene, many bands Death metal, heavy/speed metal, Black metal, etc ... Several bands have toured Europe and USA, now many will also be at the great festival in Mexico.The zines in Chile have never stopped, the webzines are exploiting their potentials doing online interviews and as for metal club they are in extinction.
11. Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
The classics Varathron and Rotting Christ, Flames, Macedon Harriers.
12. What are your future plans?
Make more Metal, and get to know the world.!!
