Tell us a few things about RIDESKY (Members, Starting Year etc).
Ridesky started in early 2020, with me (Levi) and Leandro as we decided to record songs that i have composed even before we had the idea of a new band, as the project took its shape we released five singles and now we finally have a lineup with Rodrigo Mukai (lead guitar), Caio Gaona (drums), Levi (guitar,vocals) and Leandro Valmobida (vocals and bass).
You have recently released your single ''Cry Out For Angels''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
It has been great, as we see the good comments on social media and even when people tell us that they are listening and enjoying, always saying positive things about this song.
Label or DIY and why?
DIY, because i never experienced working with a label before, so we have always been doing things by ourselves.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Vinyl is absolutely beautiful! Physical format will always be the best, an expression of art and passion, but we actually release our music in digital format, because things are too expensive in Brazil.
Your music style is Heavy Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
Main inspirations are: Helloween, Megadeth, Skid Row, Death, Dio, Queensryche, Kiss, Metallica, André Matos.
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
Being in a band sometimes we have to make hard decisions ,but if you want to succeed you must choose a path and keep going ahead, that's when you must think about what worth to sacrifice or not.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
I have a dream to play in a big festival with my favourite bands, like Wacken Open Air, Gods of Metal and many others, back in 2013 me and Leandro were playing in a band and we opened for Stryper here in Brazil, performing for many people, it was awesome!
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Heavy Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Being honest with your art, making good music, not being just another copy.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Heavy Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Sure, it's the fastest and easiest way to get ourselves in touch with other metalheads around the world, that's what we are doing right now! Actually is the best way to release music today.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Brazil (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
To mention few: Bands like Corporate Death, Infestatio, Nox Eterna, Inluzt and Richlord all from our hometown.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
The worldwide renowned Gus G. and bands like Rotting Christ, Firewind, Septic Flesh and Suicidal Angels are awesome!
What are your future plans?
We are looking forward to record new songs and videos and to play live shows and leave our art, leave a mark in the metal music history!
