Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.
Tell us a few things about SABOTAGE (Members, Starting Year etc).
Sabotage started back in 2017 in this suburb called Vasai in Mumbai, Cyril (Rhythm guitars) was the founding member who came across Yash (lead guitar) through social media and mutual friends and started to jam before finding Rahul, Malhar and Anand (bass player, drummer and vocalist respectively) through facebook groups. That's how Sabotage was born whilst we had different influences.. we were aligned in terms of writing heavy, thrashy original music with our own distinct sound.

In 2019 you have released your EP ''The Order of Genocide''. Have you prepared anything new since then?
Yes we have released a new single called sleep terror which shows one of the sleep paralysis episode faced by our rhythm guitarist (Cyril). We have also released a animated video for the song Bloodthirst from our EP.

Label or DIY and why?
Although we would love to release our stuff under a label. We are currently doing everything DIY. We are waiting for a right moment to approach some labels show them our work and our future plans etc.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
We as a band love both Cd and Digital Platforms because there are people who loves the physical copy also the new generation likes the ease of access that is the digital platforms. We will be exploring the vinyl area of it.
Your music style is Thrash Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
We as a band listen to lot of different genres but bands that influences are mostly from bay area ( Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax) also band likes Kreator, Havok, Harlott & Death Angel the list goes on hahahahaha.
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed?
Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
Well to each his own. Well we can surely say this is not an easy process we have to be consistent, take out time from our personal life. There might be times where you will question why you are doing this don't give up and keep at it.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
Well its a different kind of adrenaline rush for us. Going up there and venting our anger is a different kind of feeling for us.
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Thrash Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Being consistent and expirementing a little with your music is what helped us. There is no hard and fast rule this is what works for us.
Do you believe that Bandcamp and other Digital Platforms help the new Thrash Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Yes definitely Bandcamp and other platform works for us. we get to know the data about where the demand coming from so that helps in terms of sales for us.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in India (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc).
Your should definitely check out bands like Carnage Inc, Bloodkill , Kryptos, Dirge from India. Metal Groups like Blackblood has been a huge mode of support for us.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
Nope.
What are your future plans?
Currently we are WIP for our Full Length Album. Should be out by Mid 2022. Lets see what the future holds for us.
