Interview with SAGUZAR

!!!BLACK NECRO D-BEAT FROM SPAIN!!!

Welcome to the FILTHY DOGS OF METAL Webzine.

Tell us a few things about SAGUZAR (Members, Starting Year etc).
It started way back in the year of the lord 1819, I was bored in the cave where I live, so I dropped a demo of pure filth for the other bats to hear.

You have recently released your album ''Total Necro D-Beat Desecration''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
Some bats thought it was cool and nasty.

Label or DIY and why?
All by thyself, for thyself.

Is there any funny or weird story from the recordings or from your live shows that you would like to share with us?
All the recordings where done with an old, dusty guitar with a broken pick up and only two strings, also, one of the cats that lives here it's always around when I record stuff.

Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Gramophone all the way, it makes the dust take part in the music.

Your music style is Black MetalPunk. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
I draw influences from bands like, Hellhammer, Discharge, Gism, Zouo and Bathory.

Which things do you think a band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future for your band?
Sacrifice one's own soul and bad drummers, that's the key.

Describe your ideal live show as a performance band. Have you already experienced that?
I've always wished to play in a dump or a swamp, surrounded by rats and my beloved ones.

What attributes do you think that a new MetalPunk Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Stop copying Midnight and unlearn how to play guitar.

Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new MetalPunk Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a band to promote its work?
Homing pigeons and torn flyers.

Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Spain (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
Lot's of cool people, specially the ones that don't play in any band.

Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
Love all those classic black metal albums from Necromantia to Varathron.

The last 4 years, worldwide in the world, we have faced many dark, strange & new situations in our everyday life (covid, lock-down etc.) Did all of this affect you positively or negatively?
Didn't care, I did my stuff anyways, living in a cave isn't easy and the lord of the castle doesn't let us in.

What are your future plans?
To rest in sepulchral darkness.

Thank you very much for your time & keep up the good work! The closure is yours.
Cheers, the next thousand years are ours.

By Steve the Filthy Dog.
