Tell us a few things about VISIONS (Members, Starting Year etc).
Visions is a Bogota band formed in 2018 that was encouraged by the Jaguar Records label to meet with members of well-known bands in the country (Albeiro Jaramillo, Diego Rodriguez, Juan Campos, Wilmer Salamanca and Luis Gonzales) in order to establish a band traditional heavy metal.
You have recently released your EP ''Point of No Return''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
El primer EP de la banda aunque lleva pocos días de su lanzamiento en físico, ha tenido muy buena acogida, los fans llevaban bastante tiempo esperando debido al extenso receso forzoso que causó la pandemia de casi dos años, pero ahora es una realidad y tenemos muchas expectativas de lo que se viene.

The first EP of the band, although it has only been released physically for a few days, has been very well received, fans had been waiting for quite some time due to the extensive forced break caused by the pandemic of almost two years, but now it is a reality and we have many expectations of what is to come.
Label or DIY and why?
Sello, lo que más nos importa es la buena distribución y hay gente que se dedica especialmente a ello, seguramente tendrá mejor alcance cosa que le conviene a la banda que aún emerge. Aunque creemos que es posible y válido realizarlo de manera independiente.

Label, what matters most to us is good distribution and there are people who dedicate themselves especially to it, surely it will have a better reach, which is convenient for the band that is still emerging. Although we believe that it is possible and valid to do it independently.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
Preferimos los formatos de antaño, aspiramos a tener producciones en Vinilo y cinta, nos encanta coleccionar es por eso que disfrutamos tanto del ritual de colocar un disco y escuchar la aguja cómo en los viejos tiempos!

We prefer the formats of yesteryear, we aspire to have productions on vinyl and tape, we love to collect that is why we enjoy the ritual of placing a record and listening to the needle so much as in the old days!
Your music style is Heavy Metal. Which are your main influences (Favorite Artists / Bands etc.)
Nuestras principales influencias vienen de la vieja escuela y cada uno tratamos de aplicar esa esencia a la banda, somo seguidores de varios géneros como el HEAVY METAL, AOR, HARD ROCK incluso hasta géneros más densos cómo el THRASH, DOOM Y SPEED. En cuanto a bandas podemos nombrar a SAXON, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, SCORPIONS, ACCEPT, URIAH HEEP, WITCHFYNDE, HEAVY LOAD, KROKUS, QUEENSRYCHE, FOREIGNER, STYX, TRIUMPH, TOTO, ETC….

Our main influences come from the old school and each one of us tries to apply that essence to the band, we are followers of various genres such as HEAVY METAL, AOR, HARD ROCK even more dense genres such as THRASH, DOOM AND SPEED. As for bands we can name SAXON, JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, SCORPIONS, ACCEPT, URIAH HEEP, WITCHFYNDE, HEAVY LOAD, KROKUS, QUEENSRYCHE, FOREIGNER, STYX, TRIUMPH, TOTO, ETC….
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
Pienso que no es una obligación sacrificar algo para tener éxito, pero soy consciente de que sucede de forma involuntaria, para tener una banda hay que dedicar mucho tiempo, horas de ensayo con los miembros, ensayo en casa, composición, desplazamiento a las salas o eventos, giras, todo esto…Y si he sacrificado cosas importantes, como tiempo con la familia!
English:
I think that it is not an obligation to sacrifice something to be successful, but I am aware that it happens involuntarily, to have a band you have to dedicate a lot of time, hours of rehearsal with the members, rehearsal at home, composition, going to the rooms or events, tours, all this… And if I have sacrificed important things, like time with the family!
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
Cada vez que nos presentamos en vivo es el momento ideal, así sea con poca o mucha gente, es la mejor sensación, pero sin lugar a dudas siempre queremos más y nuestro sueño es experimentar un festival reconocido al vivo con miles de amantes del metal, algo así como un KEEP IT TRUE - WACKEN - HELL & HEAVEN!

Every time we perform live is the ideal moment, whether with a few or a lot of people, it's the best feeling, but without a doubt we always want more and our dream is to experience a renowned festival live with thousands of metal lovers, something like a KEEP IT TRUE - WACKEN - HELL & HEAVEN!
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Heavy Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Pensamos que una de los atributos más importantes es hacer el metal de corazón, por gusto real, sin seguir modas o clichés, tener referencias claras y tratar de revivir la vieja escuela por medio de nuestras composiciones, es la manera de llegarle a la gente y que asimismo responda por convicción.
English:
We think that one of the most important attributes is to make metal from the heart, for real pleasure, without following fashions or clichés, having clear references and trying to revive the old school through our compositions, it is the way to reach people and who also responds by conviction.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Heavy Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
Ayudan en cuestión de difundir y llegar a lugares a donde antes de la tecnología era muy complicado, pero definitivamente pienso que no hacen nada en cuanto a cuestión financiera para los artistas, no se sabe quién lleva una contabilidad, hay artistas que tienen cantidades de material allí y nunca ven un solo centavo.
English:
They help in terms of disseminating and reaching places where before technology was very complicated, but I definitely think that they do nothing in terms of financial matters for artists, it is not known who keeps accounts, there are artists who have quantities of material there and never see a single penny.
Tell us a few things about the New Underground Metal Scene in Colombia (Bands, Fanzines, Webzines, Metal Clubs etc.)
A diario vemos cantidades de bandas emergentes en nuestro país, y cuando vamos a conciertos al vivo es sorprendente ver la calidad de ellas, actualmente han nacido varios clubs para eventos de metal que ayudan a que los artistas tengan un espacio para mostrar sus shows, ¡eso es bueno!
English:
Every day we see quantities of emerging bands in our country, and when we go to live concerts it is surprising to see the quality of them, currently several clubs have been born for metal events that help artists have a space to show their shows,! that's good!
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
Sobre la escena actual no exactamente, pero sí disfrutamos de bandas especialmente de los 80s como; Spitfire, Flames, Raw Silk, Rotting Christ….

Not exactly about the current scene, but we do enjoy bands especially from the 80s like; Spitfire, Flames, Raw Silk, Rotting Christ….
What are your future plans?
Bueno, sin lugar a dudas seguir trabajando en la siguiente producción que será el álbum debut de la banda para llevarlo a otros países de América del sur y Europa, también participar en festivales locales y posicionarnos para poder proyectar nuestro debut en festivales del exterior.
