Tell us a few things about VORST (Members, Starting Year etc).
Vörst started a one man BM project. I didn't want anything to hold me back from creating the music I felt inside. Always in hopes to play live someday. In late 2020 a friend of mine introduced me to a drummer she knew name SEVERUS. Severus is a BEAST on the drums. It all clicked and Vörst went out as a 2 piece. Maybe we will grow once more. Only time will tell.
You have recently released your demo ''And God Will Burn''. What is the feedback from your audience as well as from the press?
So far only good press from this release. I believe the fans appreciate the attention Vörst was able to give in the studio to these songs.
Label or DIY and why?
We are DIY right now. Always looking for a label to help with the things that Vörst may struggle to do on our own.
Do you prefer Vinyl, Tape, CD or Digital Format and why is that?
It's all music. As long as we can put our music out in the world, we are happy. However saying that, I do love the tangible material.
Your music style is Black Metal. Which are your main influences (Favourite Artists / Bands etc.)
WASP, Gorgoroth, Judas Priest, Immortal...
Which things, do you think, a Band should sacrifice in order to succeed? Have you ever sacrificed anything in your life for a better future of your Band?
A band should sacrifice their intolerance. In Vörst we are very open to new ideas where ever they may come from. From nature, from conversation, from other music you may not normally listen to, etc. I have sacrifice (if we must call it that) many relationships through my past, in order to always look ahead and focus on music. Music is our beating heart after all.
Describe your ideal live show as a performance Band. Have you already experienced that?
Vörst will always evolve. The name Vörst means FROST in Danish. One day we will have a very "Cold" setting on stage. We like a large stage show.
Which attributes, do you think, that a new Black Metal Band should have in order to gain identity and be unique?
Any new band needs to not do the same thing that's already been done. Don't copy!!!! Be original and follow your ideas. Mix it up.
Do you believe that Digital Platforms help the new Black Metal Bands? Which, do you think, is the ideal way for a Band to promote its work?
There are so many platforms out now it's hard to know which one is right. I do think that by putting out your music and pushing it and promoting it in anyway possible is the right path.
Do you know anything about the Hellenic Metal Scene?
I do not. I will look that up.
What are your future plans?
To take Vörst to Europe and progress our stage show.
