Inside the big box that Danihell Slaughter, the man behind the mighty MURDER Records, sent me, he included this old release from the Portuguese death metallers DI. SOUL.VED. The album ''Confessions From The Soul Volume I'' was their first (and only) full-length studio album, released in 2016 (oh fuck, wow, almost a decade ago… amazing how fast the years go by!). It was a collaboration between MURDER Records and HELLDPROD Records. The music of DI. SOUL.VED is BRUTAL – BRUTAL – BRUTAL!!! From the moment you hit play on the opening track, "Where’s Your God," you’re thrust into an all-out aural warzone, and it never lets up until the CD ends! The intensity of this album is something that needs to be experienced. The vocals are savage, a blistering mixture of guttural growls and unrelenting screams. The guitars are aggressive and deadly, each riff feeling like a battering ram crashing through your skull. It’s violent and raw. The rhythm section is like a demolition hammer, with the drums pounding like a machine gun. WOW, this guy (Rolando Barros) plays like a machine! Impressive!! Well done!!!  DI. SOUL.VED is an experienced band in the battlefield of extreme death metal. You can tell from their compositions that the band members have a deep musical background and truly know how to play their instruments. Overall, ''Confessions From The Soul Volume I'' is a brutal album with 14 extreme death metal tracks. If you’re a fan of brutal, extreme, and destructive death metal or even Grindcore, then this album is for you.
