GROG, hailing from Portugal, have been active since 1991 and continue to release brutal material. Their fourth full-length studio album, ''Ablutionary Rituals'', was released via MURDER Records (hail my necro-brother Danihell) in collaboration with Portuguese label Helldprod Records. It comes in a limited edition Digipak CD, with only 1000 copies available. Their music is incredibly brutal and extreme death grind! The album contains 14 tracks, and right from the first song, "Revelation - Open Wound" (which serves more as an intro), the listener is thrust into a whirlwind of blast beats, rapid-fire riffs, and guttural vocals that leave no room for mercy. From the second track, "Uterine Casket," the intensity skyrockets. The grinding riffs and blast beats, coupled with the band's technical skills (the members are seasoned veterans of the death metal scene), especially the killer drumming, are truly impressive. Each song exudes aggression and power, gripping the listener by the neck! ''Ablutionary Rituals'' is a vicious, ferocious, high-energy release that will leave you with no choice but to hit play again. For fans of EXTREME NOISE TERROR, NAPALM DEATH, TERRORIZER, RATOS DE PORAO, REPULSION, and similar bands.
