Holy fuck!!! What kind of metallic dynamite is this?? "Fury Among Ruins" is the debut full-length studio album from Polish black metal band SCRÜDA, released via Godz Ov War Productions (Hail Greg!!!). It contains 10 tracks, totaling just 18 minutes of pure chaos! Hahaha, so expect a lightning-fast barrage of black metal with a thrash metal edge, delivering exactly what its title promises: fury, chaos, and relentless aggression. The album kicks off with ''Philosophy'', and within moments, it’s clear that SCRÜDA is here to make an impact. The track opens with rapid-fire drumming and a razor-sharp riff that introduces the band’s style-raw, aggressive, and fast. The Conqueror's vocals are immediately aggressive, spitting out lines with a venomous edge, backed by a relentless rhythm section. The fiery speed of the track sets the tone for what’s to come, combining the fury of thrash with the dark intensity of black metal. As the album progresses, SCRÜDA stays firmly in their lane with tracks like ''Lone Duelist'' and ''Ape from Hell'', where high-speed riffing and frenzied drumming dominate the soundscape. The riffs are sharp and unforgiving, moving at breakneck speed, while the drumming from Wall of Flesh is a thunderous, pulse-pounding force that gives the tracks their energy. ''Ape from Hell'' introduces a slight groove, though it’s not long before the pace picks up again, reminding you that SCRÜDA's strength lies in their ability to launch into full-throttle chaos without ever letting up. In "Hellfire Glow", Firecracker and Evil Golem's twin guitars blaze through the track, bringing total black metal madness with a sinister atmosphere. Don’t forget to check out their evil and nightmarish official video! "Kill" and "Swords" continue the assault, proving that SCRÜDA isn’t interested in slowing down. Sharp, aggressive songs-a perfect blend of high-speed thrash and the lurking menace of black metal. "Frozen Heart" delivers a venomous sound with hateful black energy, enhanced by an epic touch! Great tune!!! "Bonded by Hate" feels like a raw punch to the gut. The track is as evil as it sounds, with a driving, hateful energy that doesn’t shy away from the aggressive core of thrash and black metal. The riffs are hard-hitting! "Vile Alliance" is a blackened crust track that keeps the aggression high. Relentless, with searing guitar lines and fast drumming! Furious song! The album ends with "When a World Ended," a heavy mid-tempo song with great atmosphere and frenetic screaming vocals. The production of "Fury Among Ruins" is razor-sharp, thanks to the engineering work by Michał Dashke and Ignacy Macikowski at Black Peak Studio, and it was mixed and mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studio. The cover artwork is a masterpiece of evil, crafted by Kuba Górniak. "Fury Among Ruins" may be short, but it is an absolute killer whirlwind.
